For balance, good things about this year:

1) We got married.
2) We don't have to go back to that horrible place.
3) We camped twice.
4) We saw untamed prairie, several times.
5) Roadtrip with my sister.
6) Got to see my grandmother and other relatives.
7) Ate a lot of ice cream.
8) Made serious progress on a couch-to-5K program.
9) We graduated.
10) We got to see the new babies and spend time with family members on G's side.
11) I completed a craft project for the first time in...probably about 10 years.
12) I saw quite a good number of my pre-Nebraska friends.
13) We made use of an all-trampoline facility, twice.
14) Cooked some new recipes and adopted them into the repertoire.
15) Grew an apple tree that yielded [one, small] fruit.
16) Three people stayed over at our house.
17) We watched a lot of cool movies and read a lot of cool books, or at least I did for the latter.
18) We made actual plans to get out of this state, which will eventually come to fruition.
19) We spent time in Tucson.
20) We spent time in Portland.
21) We spent time in Astoria.
22) I walked into a Great Lake.
23) We learned about the Oregon Trail, Pony Express, and Lewis and Clark.
24) We started a list of songs for our wedding mix.
25) We tried out some new DIY methods for various things.

So it's not all bad. Could be worse.
